Bigg's Killer Whale

Bigg's Killer Whale (Orcinus rectipinnus) is the catalogue name used here for the mammal-eating transient killer-whale lineage. Current Society for Marine Mammalogy treatment places it within Orcinus orca rather than accepting it as a separate species (SMM 2026 taxonomy).
