The house mouse is a small rodent with a pointed snout, large rounded ears and a long, almost hairless tail. Wild animals vary from grey and light brown to black, with individual hairs agouti-coloured. Body length is 7.5 to 10cm, tail length 5 to 10cm and weight typically 11 to 30g, and it can jump vertically up to about 45cm (Wikipedia, general species account).
House mice are mostly crepuscular or nocturnal and avoid bright lights. They live in hidden places near food and build nests of soft materials. They are territorial, with one dominant male usually living with several females and young. They feed mainly on plant matter but are omnivorous. The sources opened are general to the species and give nothing specific to Bhutan.
