Resident Killer Whale

Resident Killer Whale (Orcinus ater) is the catalogue name used here for the fish-eating resident killer-whale lineage. Current Society for Marine Mammalogy treatment places it within Orcinus orca rather than accepting it as a separate species (SMM 2026 taxonomy).
